Pray for the Media
“But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” –Romans 1:18
It may seem impossible that the media could ever be on the right side, but all things are possible with God! In this time of divide in our nation, it is imperative that we pray for the media. They influence the way people think and can either stir up hate and division, or promote unity and peace. During this 2023 election, pray for the media in this way:
- Ask God to bring what is in the dark into the light—to expose falsehoods and biased agendas in the election process.
- That truth will become the new standard in the news media, and that coverage will be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
- That all groups will receive fair and unbiased coverage in all reports.
- For Christians to rise up in places of authority in all media outlets.
Let’s believe together for a supernatural move of God over the media in America. Psalm 29:4-8 tells us that “the voice of the Lord is powerful…the voice of the Lord breaks the cedars…[and] shakes the wilderness.” So, we declare that the voice of the Lord is over the media and the 2023 elections!
Scriptures
Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
Jesus died to cleans us of our sins, so we can boldly approach our God who is holy and without sin (Hebrews 4:16).
God fills us with the Holy Spirit, who is bold and courageous (1 Timothy 1:7-8). We do not have to muster courage and strength on our own. We simply submit to the Spirit of God that is within us.
God promises that nothing can separate us from his love (Romans 8:38-39). He is always with us, especially in times of crisis.
When our hearts are aligned with God in faith, he tells us to pray with boldness, expecting that our prayers will be answered (1 John 5:14).
The Spirit of God emboldens us to proclaim the gospel without fear (1 Thessalonians 2:2).
Boldness is contagious. When we are bold for Christ, enduring hardships for our faith, others are provoked to do the same (Philippians 1:14).
